Non-American-HS-Clubs: "Officer positions"?

<p>I'm in Canada, and at my high school clubs, there ARE NO officer positions. You are either the president (who does 99% of the work) or just a regular member. There might be passionate members, but they get no positions. Maybe its just that canadian universities aren't cut-throat so people don't care about "recognition"... but it makes it take that much more effort for president to run the club.</p>

<p>Most clubs at my school only have captains (either one captain or 2-3 co-captains), except for newspaper, yearbook and the litereary magazine, which have editors for each section.</p>
