non audition acceptance

hello, i am a pianist wanting to go to the concervatory at University of the Pacific. UoP is prob. the hardest and most expensive school i will be auditioning for this winter, the rest being state schools like fullerton and northerige SF state. im not worried about regular acceptance to the state schools (totally easy lol), but UoP is a private school with more standards for general admissions . . .

i have a accum Weighted 3.7/3.8 GPA (without classes like health and PE even higher)
i have taken/about to take seven AP and Honors classes (including Music Theory)
my SAT score was a horrible 1520 . . . 1010 without Writing section
and too many sports and extra currcular activities to list along with clubs and music classes like marching band and symphonic and jazz band. . .

my question is if this is enough to get into UoP . . . please help, should i retake the SAT?

himes- I quickly glanced at their baseline requirements for academic merit scholarships at http://www.pacific.edu/admission/financialaid/scholarships/freshman.asp

Your SAT scores are well below the cut-offs for the merit awards listed. You do not state your unweighted GPA, and I could not locate a profile on their website for admission stats in general.

You'll have to find that info. Compare your stats with that benchmark. If you wish to potentially pursue merit aid, I suggest you retake the SATs to see if you can qualify for a merit award.

UofP does require acceptance to both the university academically, as well as the conservatory.

You may want to speak directly with an admissions counselor. They should be able to give you an idea of the GPA's/SAT range of those in the program to see where you fall.
