Non-auto admits.. how're you holding out?

<p>For those of you IS not in the top 8 % or OOS/international students, are you coping with the wait or falling apart?</p>

<p>Personally, because I have NO idea what my current GPA really is (district error -> sending out inaccurate transcripts. not even the "updated" class rank and GPAs the counselors have are correct at the time.) I'm checking status check daily like they'll give me a decision soon, and I'm freaking myself out looking at site after site with admissions calculators to see my chances.</p>

<p>Frankly, though this site is very helpful, it terrifies me. I've NEVER thought I was the smartest cookie in the batch, but I knew damn well I was one of the brightest in my school. Though my grades aren't perfect because I was a procrastinator (if I'm lucky I'll graduate with a 3.6 UW.. dunno what my weighted GPA is though), I have one of the top SAT scores of my current class and the class before me (like 99th percentile)</p>

<p>Then I come on here.. and y'all kick my butt! Granted I would've gotten a 2000+ if I studied (math = boo), but I didn't. And all these great applicants with 2000+ SATs, higher class ranks, ridiculous ECs, and like eighty AP courses not getting accepted? My nerves can't handle it. But it really opens my eyes to how.. academically behind my school is compared to some of yours.</p>

<p>I'm riding on my expanded resume, essay C, letters of rec, and hopefully my real transcript is better than the one I saw.</p>

<p>Hey, umm. non auto admits don’t here back until Mid February…I’m pretty sure this is the case. That’s what people have been saying, but maybe if UT thinks your really spectacular you’ll here back sooner</p>

<p>Hey! I am stressing out too :frowning: I check my status daily… lol I’m sure they won’t accept me or deny me at this time, but I’m kinda addicted to checking my status. Does anyone know when the international students hear back? March?
Also, when ppl say the’ve applied in September, does that mean they turned in the applytexas online application or did they turn in EVERYTHING?</p>

<p>I am completely aware that non-auto admits typically don’t hear of their decisions until February, but that doesn’t make the wait any easier.</p>

<p>The semester doesn’t end until next Friday so I don’t even to be stress-“free” yet. I’ve pretty much accepted the fact that I’m most likely going to get put in the CAP so that lightens the load some, at least. Going to UTSA won’t be as bad as people think it is, I’m sure. </p>

<p>I think the majority September applicants mean they had EVERYTHING in by September, which is what I should’ve aimed for!</p>

<p>I’m not sure about int’l students, but I believe UT is aiming to have all admissions decisions out by the end of February. We’ll see! best of luck to ya!</p>
