<p>Granted, ND is a very Catholic place, but it also seems to be a very accepting place. Admissions is going to be blind to religion, they accept the best students, so no worries there. Now, I am biased a bit because I am Catholic, but I have many friends who are not Catholic and none of them have seemed to have a problem. At ND it has been my experience that the religion is there, but it is mroe of a if you choose it thing than that it overtakes your life. Yes, there are some Theology and Philosophy requirements, but I don't see those being a problem (heck, one of my Theology classes was taught by a Protestant, so it isn't just Catholic Theology). Overall people seem to be very accepting of religion and I have never seen anyone excluded because of faith. I hope this helps some. Remember, it is 85% Catholic, but there still is 15% that is not and is doing alright.</p>

<p>Personally, I dont think it makes a difference. I, a Catholic(although not a very steadfast one), applied to ND because it was a good school, not because it was Catholic. And I may go to ND for the same reason.</p>
<p>I am not Catholic, and was admitted EA as a Notre Dame Scholar. I really don't think it matters in admissions.</p>
<p>Don't lie on your application!!! Notre Dame won't reject you becasue you're not Catholic, but they may be less inclined to admit you if they find out you were dishonest on your application...</p>
<p>Ditto on the don't lie....if you seriously want people's opinions about how the Catholic environment impacts non-Catholic students go read some of the old threads on this board. This topic has come up in various incarnations in the past.</p>

<p>I know you probably mean well but there is no reason to put down the question. If you talked about your involvement in the Lutheran church they could be able to find out :). Regardless, the point stands that you shouldn't lie about your faith, especially since being Catholic doesn't help you!</p>
<p>I told them I was protestant. I'm not a stellar applicant by any means, and still got in. I don't think religion plays that much of a factor in admissions.</p>

S attends a Catholic all boys school now,
and it has been a wonderful experience, and his knowledgeable GC ( ND grad )
said ND experience would be JUST LIKE HS- regarding being non Catholic.</p>
<p>He assured us being non Catholic would NOT be an issue regarding admissions.....I was skeptical, but he was right!</p>
