Non direct admit nursing programs

I am looking for non direct admit nursing programs to transfer into, typical nursing programs admit the incoming freshmen and do not allow transfers after that. Anyone know of any good bsn nursing programs that I could transfer into after my first semester as a pre-nursing major ?

I’m pretty sure NYU accepts transfers for nursing and there are no specific prerequisite courses required!

Where are you looking? Where are you located? How many years of college have you completed?

Alabama, Wisconsin, and USC to name a few

According to this article, UCLA, Belmont, UVA, GTown, Pitt, Michigan and Montclair State.

Obviously there are many more.

Why not get a list of all nursing programs - and then google that school of interest and transfer. I did this for Florida State and then you get this type page. This way you’ll see if allow transfers and what you need to do.

Plenty of non-direct Nursing programs that accept transfers but not many that will accept a transfer with only 1 semester of classes under their belt including UCLA as posted above.

I missed the 1-semester. I wonder why after 1 semester.

Me too -

OP - are you in high school - and looking to go to a school that admits pre-nursing after one semester?

Or are you about to enter a school and hope to transfer to another after one semester?

Most schools have a timeline for pre-nursing to become nursing - and you follow that timeline.

If the school has pre-nursing, you’d transfer in that way.

Why one semester? that threw a couple of us.
