Hey I'm looking at duke as one of my top choices. My big concern is social. I know duke has a big Greek scene but that's not really my thing. That being said, it's still college, I'm sorry but I want to drink and get laid. So how is social life for non Greeks at duke? Are there still good parties? And it may sound shallow but are there a lot of hot girls to be had outside of the fraternity scene?
Thanks

No real input, but I respect this.

What do you expect the answer to be? It’s definitely possible to have a social life outside of greek life, there are slg’s and you can block with your friends. Fall semester the parties are generally open to freshman, but spring semester they become closed to just frats. So party with your friends if you want to. I mean in general i’d say the girls in sororities tend to be more attractive, but theres plenty of hot girls not in sororities. Greek life is big though, and the social scene is quite different when you’re not a freshman.

Look at Rice University if you want an excellent undergrad education and a good social scene without frats or sororities (Rice doesn’t have any frats or sororities, so the social scene there is a bit more inclusive in my opinion).
