I know that the honors dorms are set up with the 3 or 4 individual bedrooms around a central kitchen/bathroom, etc. what are the non-fresh. dorms like? I’m hoping to have a dorm like mentioned above…but unsure of if ill be able to be in honors or not…so i was just wondering what the chances are of having the type of dorm im hoping for…

I think Lakeside has beds that are not reserved for honors kids. Tutwiler is a large dorm (900 freshman girls) on the south end of campus. Other than those, most dorms are small (~100 kids).

dorm size doesnt really bother me, i was just hoping to be able to get one of the 3 bedrooms around central area setup...

Only Lakeside and Riverside are apartment style. Rose Towers and Hackberry Commons are also apartment style, but I'm not sure of their availability to freshman. All other dorms are traditional style.

so what is the difficultly of getting into lakeside or riverside without being in the honors program....just a typical freshman?

Sorry, I wasn't a freshman at UA nor did I live in on-campus when I got there.

if you're a male engineering major then you can live in Bryant, which has the same setup as Lakeside.
