Non Limited Access major switching to Limited access major possible as a transfer?

Hey guys,

I'm a long time lurker at CC to find my answers, but I couldn't find an answer to my current question.

I'm currently an Accounting major at another state university, and I am planning on applying to transfer to FSU with an AA. I'm really interested in FSU's English w/ business major and will most likely declare that as my major when I apply to transfer. My problem is, what if I don't like the English program and want to go back to accounting immediately? I don't want to waste time. Will I be able to switch to the school of Business even though I was admitted as an English major? I know usually the answer would be yes, but the Accounting program is a "limited access" program, so I'm not too sure if they'll let me do that. Also, if I apply as an English major, it will increase my chances of getting accepted rather than applying as an Accounting major because English is not a limited access major.

TL;DR: Can I apply as an English w/ business major as a transfer, and when I get accepted, (hypothetically) switch to Accounting which is a limited access major immediately without a problem?

Generally if your grades are high enough and you are patient you can make such changes.

You may have to wait out a semester, perhaps two.

While FSU wants every student to graduate on time, there are exceptions and they realize they are dealing usually with young adults who sometimes change their mind.

Being indecisive is more expensive, but better earlier than later.
