Hey, I've heard tons of stuff about what huge partiers there are at Cornell, what with all the frat houses and such, but I'm really not that into partying. I was wondering if there was a good population of kids who aren't that into partying? Of course there's the occasional party I'll hit up, but for the most part I hope there are kids that are just relaxed and doing their own thing. I'm really not a drinker, I'll drink once in a while socially but not to get **** drunk. Are there any kids like me at Cornell???

At least one. :-)

at least two!!!

i'm three!! (if i get in)

Losers!!!!! j/k

Cornell is a diverse place. Not everyone there will like to party, and I can assure you that there are very few people who ONLY party...it takes a little work to get there, and even more to stay there. You'll find your share of partiers, but even most of them don't do it every night.

i just want to bang *****es

lol, that's cute, Oels

holy **** oels.... (i'm laughing in spite of myself)

Hail flippydippy,

You are not alone. I have only drank (drunk?) alcohol once in my entire life and that was only about two milliliters. It was enough to disgust me into staying alcohol-free until now.

Plus (and I learned this in Driver's Ed) if you drink alcohol every day for the next twenty years, your brainpower will equal that of a seven-year-old.

such conflicting messages the health world tells us huh? and here i thought a glass of wine a night is actually good for you. eek! hahaha, j/k. my friends and i usually just spend friday nights watching movies/playing games/ and lots of talking. we don't seem as interested in parties like last yr. so don't worry, you're in good company!

i was about to make that glass of wine comment. Perhaps if you drink yourself sick every night thats true, but even so I doubt it. Maybe its pot that does that, or maybe alcohol does it to a less extreme effect. and your first instinct is correct, its "drank" bladeofgondor.

Put it this way, the people on my floor who only go out and party are severely looked down upon by the rest of us. Not only for their actions (which often cost the rest of us, i.e., clean bathrooms, broken things, etc), but also their personalities. They just aren't likeable. People who party occasionally are more numerous than people who do it nonstop, or even not at all. But even those who never drink or anything still find ways to have fun.

Actually, it IS "drunk."

That aside...meh, not sure where I'll stand with the whole party thing. I have nothing against alcohol, of course...

A lot of people like to party hard, but sure there's plenty to do otherwise.

"I drink" (present) "I drank" (past) "I have drunk" (I dunno what thats called) though I can't believe i'm actually having this debate haha

Right, exactly. The third one's called present perfect.

Drunk is the past particple of to drink; when using the present perfect, you use the subject, have, and then the past participle. (French is actually useful sometimes...hehe)

Ditto for German...and they say it's a useless language.

Fun to yell too.

going out to parties doesn't mean you need to bring your BAC to 0.45 and puke all over campus.

Haha thanks guys, I'm so glad I'm not the only one :)
