What kind of social life is there at UCLA is there for people who don't like to go out partying?

Depends on what type of person you are and what type of friends you make.

I’ve only been to 1 party in my time at UCLA and it was during my freshman year. Aside from, I’ve found my close group of friends and we’re practically like fraternity brothers. We live together in the same apartment complex, play basketball, watch sports games, and go out around LA to eat and stuff (obviously all this with girl friends too…).

Plenty to do around UCLA and LA. If you’re not into parties, that doesn’t mean you won’t have a social life.

And who knows? You may end up partying once in a while.

My freshman year I did not go to any parties, did not drink, and had a blast with my friends. If you find people willing to explore with you, you can get to MANY awesome places by blue bus/metro.

I don’t party or drink at all. I’ve spend my time working a job, doing research in labs, and helping run a student group.

I think it’s hard to find other people who do *zero *partying or drinking, and without them being lazy gamers who sit in front of the computer all day, though.

I have enough of a social life with friends when I want to have lunch or dinner, grab coffee or gelato, or go out to Westwood.

You can become one of the Den kids and just go to every single sporting event on campus.

Almost done with my first year at LA, and I went to no parties whatsoever. I still overall had a great time. I met some people in marching band that also don’t like parties/drinking/etc and we just hangout, play games, workout, etc. Most people you meet (at least in my experience) do party and all that, and some nights were kind of boring because everyone was gone, but there are indeed plenty of things you can do if you don’t like partying. Just please don’t spend 24/7 studying for classes, college isn’t solely about doing extraordinarily well in every class you do. But take that for what it’s worth after all I’m just a freshman xD
