Non-Resident Question..

I have been living in California my whole life but moved to Utah during my sophomore year of High School. After I graduated I came back to CA during the summer, undecided on if I wanted to stay for college or return to Utah. Time was of the essence so I returned to Utah for 1 year of College.

I have completed that year and now want to finish school in California, is there any way I can get around paying Out of State Fees? It is at least 5 times more than in state tuition.

Thanks.

Only if you move to CA and DON’T attend college for a year while you work.

Even then, you have to show that you can support yourself financially and your parents can’t claim your on taxes for 2 years:
