Non-Science Major, But I Have to Take a Science Class to Transfer

I am currently working on an Associate of Arts (DTA) degree. I am NOT going to be pursuing a science major at all, but I have to take one science class with a lab to fulfill my degree requirements. So I am divided between taking a Geology, Biology, or Weather (environmental science) class, and am wondering if anyone out there can give me advice on which class would be the easiest/least painful to take. I am not particularly good at either math or science, so a science class with the simplest math would be the best. Thanks!

All of those will be easier than chem/phys in terms of the mathematics required, but in my personal subjective opinion, I think that geology and weather are more interesting and easier at the same time.

Off hand I say weather–and it’s always nice to know when it’ll rain…

Nobody here can tell you which would be the “easiest” class. Course rigor can vary greatly from college to college and from class to class. Research the different professors at your school and take the one that seems best. I would, however, avoid biology (unless it is a class specifically geared for non-majors) to avoid any hard core science/pre-med students.

do either one of these science courses excite you? Is there specific topics or course content in these courses that excites you? Have you read the course descriptions? Is there forecasting involved in the weather class? Do you enjoy the lab part of science classes? What kind of labs do you want the experience doing? Decide which one has the most interesting labs and/or course content based on the quantity of how much of the content or labs interest you and the quality of how much it interests you. Once you weigh the quantity and quality of how much each course interests you will know which course you wanna take for your science requirement. I personally would choose the weather(environmental science) class because I always have liked everything about weather and am very concerned about environmental issues but Biology may be more useful. Your lucky your school offers a weather(Environmental Science) class. Are you interested in Weather, animals, or living things? Does your school offer Zoology?

Thanks for the advice, you guys! I think I will probably go with the weather - I have always found weather phenomenon (like tornados) to be fascinating!

@happy1 Yeah, it is a biology class specifically intended for non-science majors, that just need the science/lab credit.
