Non-Senior Member Lounge

I don't expect this to get as much activity as the Senior Member Lounge for obvious reasons but though we have lower post counts, there are a lot more of us! So start posting people. Everyone is welcome, even slicmlic ;)

I'll join in the fun....

At least we have a sactuary in which we can feel accepted.....ooh..pun intended!
Even Junior Members like me!

this seems like segregation!... plus... i'm close to senior as is haosquared...

hahaha, i love it! haosquared, u are one bad (shut yo mouth) :D

cujoe...that was a concern of mine as well. i definitely thought of brown v board of education. and if i keep posting, i'll soon be unable to join my own lounge.

Anyone can legally discriminate under Rule 11 of the Federal Government. It seems...well...a little provincial, but it's true.

lol....... that's all i have to say...

really? what exactly does it say?

Hey....my friend's mother is an attorney, and we get constantly gorged with information on what we can and cannot legally do.

It's funny....we know most of the rules now....sad.

that must be so nice though. i'm so paranoid about whether or not something i do is legal. i've been watching too many episodes of law and order and as a result, i'm freaked out by false arrest.

Rule 11 states that any individual (or corporation, because corps are viewed as private entities and therefore as individuals) have the right to discriminate against any race, gender, religion, or ethnicity (notice this does not include social groups....), as long as the discriminatory activity is expressed toward every member of the group.

Basically, it means that you can't just deiscriminate against certain members of a group. Also, it does not include segregation.

It's just like anyone "reserving his or her right to refuse service." Rule 11.

hao,
It is nice, but it can get kind of strange. Now I have noticed that anytime someone tries to sell me something, instead of thinking, "oh, that's nice!" now I think, "okay...how are you trying to screw me, rip me off, or take my money, and what is wrong with what you are doing?"

It's cool, though! lol

-H2O-

still amazed it must be awfully hard to prove that one is discriminating against a whole group, not just members, and the public would just all over anyone who tried.

lol, h2o, i think that as well. whenever there's a sale at a store i always debate whether or not it's just a gimmick and how much money i'll actually end up saving.

Yeah, tv ads almost never have an effect on me, except just to inform me that that product/service exists, just in case I'm browsing for something in that category.

lol, i can't even begin to count the number of times i go out and buy a new product because i saw an ad on tv and was intrigued. i'm such a sucker.

awesomee lounge!!

yay another member of the lounge!

this lounge rocks! we'll have way more fun than those "senior" members. ouch. just because we're not "senior" doesn't mean we can't contribute!

welcome back, pegdiver! were you on break? must be nice...I'll be training most of my break...in Mexico, though, so it will be fun.

Hao,

this lounge will soon put you over the top to a senior member!!! Better watch out or we will lose the founder of our club :S

yea... u'll be too good for us with your mighty high post count!

naw i wasn't on break or i'd have posted more, i had school and practice. i bet u'll have fun in mexico... get a nice tan!
