non top 10% decision date?

when will tamu be releasing all non top 10% decisions? i applied way back in october and haven't heard anything...

thanks in advance

It's been rolling admissions throughout the year.
Probably by April 1st.

or late March :)

so possibly this weeeeeeek?!
will they start rejecting people too?

lol ofcourse....

we were told at admissions not to expect to hear until the first of April

but you heard in like jan/feb?!

^ If they think you're qualified enough, they'll accept you early.

I know several kids that aren't in top 10% or Academic Admits and have gotten in this year with 1700s SAT/top 30%. They applied roughly around Sept., heard back Nov/Dec.

Ive heard somewhere that they send out all the rejection letters at once.

my daughter heard The first week in January. Her application went in November 24.
My daughter was well qualified, but not top 10% or academic admit. I think this is very important to A&M.... She showed interest by going to SLOT her Jr year, a campus visit her Jr year & Sr yr, and visiting a regional office. She wrote 3 good essays, has hundreds of hours community service, in many clubs - student counsil, officer in clubs. And at a school that does not weigh AP/Dual classes. She has taken all AP classes and dual classes on the campus of a TAMU System University. She is well qualified for admission at A&M and was accepted into one of the more difficult colleges - the college of architecture.

i just called the admissions office. and they told me that most of those decisions will be out the first week of April. i applied back and october and haven't heard anything yet either. cause i'm a review applicant.

and i think the latest you can hear is April 15. although apparently its takes a long time to get your letter in the mail.

why is it so difficult to say yes or no?
ive also been waiting since october as well.

its my first choice school, and my backup school is fixin' to fill up in the medical learning community dorm and idk what to do! i need to know yes or no :/

i also live on my AIS and look on it 3-4 times a day.

tigger19, maybe you should go ahead and put a deposit down on the dorm at your second choice school. If you do get into A&M, yes, you'll lose the deposit money, but maybe it's worth it for the peace of mind.

Actually gxgal7 most places give back the deposit if you change your mind and tell them by May 1st - and A&M will definitely tell you before then. Even if they are super late and tell you mid-april you'll still have a couple weeks to get back your deposit. Just (1) make sure you know what the date is that you need to choose by in order to get back your deposit and (2) know the method to get it back. If you have to tell them in writing/in person that you want it back, you have to set your personal date a couple weeks before the deadline for a refund. Some may let u do it online though.

i agreee. i wish we could know yes or no. this is my first choice school. and being from new jersey. it would really help if i knew. so i can start looking at housing and stuff. i've e-mailed the admissions office every couple of weeks. and their answer is still first week of april and the latest is mid april.

good luck hope you get in!

well lost my housing oppurtunity at second choice, haa.

and yeah i emailed someone and they said next week is looking good for letters.

just called an admissions counselor…she said sometime in the next few WEEKS

few weeks? i thought it was this week or next week. ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

I think they take so long because they want to start getting a feel for how many kids are accepting their offer already
