Non-transfer classes effect GPA?

Hi. I was in my student government during this last spring semester and I had to take a one unit student development class in order to be qualified.

The class was graded (you are assigned a grade of A,B,C... at the end of the class), and I ended up getting a C ( I think my teacher just picked an arbitrary grade out of the sky).

I noticed that this course is not transferrable to UC's and CSU's, so my question is will my grade effect the GPA that I send to UC's?

No, it will count for grad schools though.

. . . . . . . . ..

and it's *affect

Really, I have a 3.75 out of all my units including non-transferable units, but I have a 3.95 just out of my transferable units; so that means the UC's will only look at my 3.95???

yup yup your 3.95 is ur UC gpa..whats ur major? are you applying this fall?

Im a sociology major, and applying in the fall; if this is true it's fantastick!!! are you sure?
I want to go to Berkeley

I have another question; since they only look at your UC, transferable GPA does that mean when you apply, you should only put down the grades for transferable classes and just leave out all the non-transferable classes?
Thanks

I need an answer to this one myself, but from what I've read on pathways online, only the transferable GPA counts.

Put everything down.

yup nikkei is right..you have to put down EVERYTHING on your transcript (even dropped/inc classes). no worries though because they'll do the math and calculate your gpa (the other stuff won't affect anything at all). i have a B from algebra when i took it at a JC when i was in 8th great lol

This is the best news I heard in my whole life. I thought I had a 3.75 when I really have a 3.95!
