Hello, everyone.
I have a question regarding non-UC transferable courses.
I'm applying to UCs this fall, and I was wondering if UCs even look at non-UC transferable course I took while I was still in high school. In sophomore year in high school, I took this non-UC transferable math course at ccc, and I got a D. Do I even have to worry about it?
I asked a counselor and she said they won't factor it into my GPA.

So..my question is,
They don't factor that D into my GPA when revewing my app right?
and even if they don't, would they consider it badly..?

Sorry. My question seems kind of wordy..
but thank you so much for reading and I would appreciate if somebody could write me back.
Thank you!

The UC is not allowed to consider non-transferable courses in making admissions decisions. They will not factor into your GPA. However, they will still see the courses on your application. There’s no way to unring a bell–they’ll know you had a D. Still, I don’t think one D in high school in a non-transferable course would have any impact at all on your chances of admission. If you had a bunch of D’s and F’s in non-transferable courses it might cause a subconscious concern, but even then UC isn’t supposed to consider those courses.

@nick_scheu: thanks for your reply! It really helped. Yeah I only have one D and I got it in a non-transferable course. I hope that they don’t consider my D in making admission decisions at all.
