I've reviewed other threads and have seen that apparently there are schools that audition at the same time as the unifieds, but are not officially part of the unified auditions. From what I can tell there is no actual list of these schools. So if you have done that for a specific school, I'd appreciate it if you could post that here so I can get a list together of such schools. I am particularly interested in the Chicago audition, but I am sure it would be helpful for many if you could also indicate school at the other unified venues that provided auditions outside the actual unified venue. Thanks!

Jeffandann,

This list is from various pages of last year’s “Dramatics” College Theatre Directory. It is published in December, so I don’t know if all the same schools will participate this year.

Consortium of Conservatory of Theatre Training Programs - go to New York, Chicago,
San Francisco, and Los Angeles (states acting/design auditions, doesn’t specifically mention MT)
-Boston University
-Carnegie Mellon Drama
-Purchase
-Rutgers
-University of North Carolina School of the Arts

Other schools listed under regional auditions that are in Chicago same time as Unified, not sure if drama or MT or both
-Coastal Carolina
-Fordham College at Lincoln Center
-The Julliard School
-The University of Minnesota
-Ohio Northern University
-Syracuse University
-University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point

*Marymount Manhattan College came to Chicago, but in January
Hope that helps

Yes, Coastal Carolina does attend the Chicago Unified auditions for all 3 days- auditioning for all of our degrees (Musical Theatre and Acting) as well as doing Design/Tech interviews. I believe Texas State was also in Chicago last year?

S#1 auditioned for Carnegie Melon MT in Chicago in February 2012.

Cal-Arts and USC also audition in Chicago during Unified dates.

Yes - Texas State has been in Chicago for the past 3 years.

In the past, if you sent your prescreen ahead of time, Chicago could count for your audition; otherwise, it would count as your prescreen. But, as with any school or program, you need to check on the current requirements and audition protocols.
