Non-US citizens getting in-state privilege

hi,

i read on UVA web that some non-US citizens (and non-greencard holders) who reside in VA may be eligible if they have the "appropriate" visa type. What is "appropriate"? Is an A-2 visa (diplomatic) okay? Also, what happens if my parents suddenly go back to their country while I attend UVA? Will my in-state privilege be revoked so that I'll have to pay non-state tuition?

Your case is too technical for anyone on here. Call the admissions office. They're nice people, and love to help.

i think as long as you have and keep virginia domicile, you qualify. as long as you're legally living in VA for a number of years, you have domicile. contact UVA though
