Once again, non-wharton penn has badly lost the cross-admit battle this year, to every ivy except cornell, and schools like MIT, Stanford, Duke, Amherst, Williams. Students realize that penn is only worth it if you are at wharton, which gets the lion's share of resources, prestige, and job opportunities. Wharton is solely responsible for penn's ranking in US News and world report.

Is it already ■■■■■ season for those who couldn’t get into penn…

I think you are failing to mention that Penn’s pre-medical studies are perhaps the best in the country. 80-90% med school accept rate culminating in roughly 280 students being accepted into med schools. Also Penn med (ranked #2 in the country) has more students from penn cas than any other school. Not to mention many cas students still go on to harvard, jhu, and columbia med schools.

Where did you get your cross-admit info? and Penn is still an amazing school even if people choose those schools over it! Hey, my own school University of Chicago has awful cross-admittance rates but it is still amazing :D, and ranked equal to Penn, Stanford, Caltech, and MIT.

IGNORE ARBITRAGEUR AND ANY OF HIS/HER THREADS OR POSTS. He/she is an anti-Penn ■■■■■ with an obvious axe to grind (just look at his/her post history), who occasionally comes into the Penn forum to blow completely baseless anti-Penn nonsense out of his/her arse. He/she has absolutely NO data or facts–none, nada, zilch–to back up his/her puerile and outrageous anti-Penn smears. In fact, the data that IS readily available completely contradicts virtually everything that he/she posts.

This thread has been reported to the moderators, who hopefully will delete this thread and banish this blatant ■■■■■ from CC.

45Percenter, penn’s cross-admit stats include wharton. You take wharton out, and it loses badly to every ivy except cornell.

^if what you say is true, please post a link to prove it…i was able to find one site and it clearly refutes you.

upenn beats dartmouth, cornell, brown, and columbia…essentially only losing to HYP.

link: [Compare Colleges: Side-by-side college comparisons | Parchment - College admissions predictions.](<a href=“Compare Colleges: Side-by-side college comparisons | Parchment - College admissions predictions.”>Compare Colleges: Side-by-side college comparisons | Parchment - College admissions predictions.)

I mean just look at the Penn forum. Almost every question on admissions deals with wharton, including for the transfers. Among talented high school students, the primary reason to apply to penn is because of wharton (as well as the various joint degree programs). You don’t go to penn to study history, poli sci, philosophy, english, etc., if you can go to columbia/brown/dartmouth/amherst/williams/duke. Simply put, Wharton is the only reason Penn is on the map. Without it, penn is similar to uva, michigan, unc, wustl, northwestern, usc.

Lol what’s your issue? You’re completely right. Now go away?

arbitraguer- you should rate the best mental hospitals because i think those institutions are the only ones you have ever matriculated in.

you blatantly disregard facts and have no touch with reality. Also, if non-wharton penn is in fact worthless then your comparison schools would also be skewed. Non-Ross michigan is a joke then, take away the pre-med programs and WUSTL is worthless, without international relations georgetown is useless…

^ that made me LOL

Haters gonna hate

Give me a break! Do you have ANY idea how highly regarded Penn’s History, English, Economics, Classics, Anthropology, Religion, French, Spanish, Art History, Music, Linguistics, Sociology, Psychology, etc. departments are? Are you COMPLETELY clueless that those and other liberal arts departments at Penn are consistently ranked in the top 10 or 20 in the nation, as high as or higher than every one of the schools you listed? Do you know ANYTHING about the Kelly Writers House? The Penn Humanities Forum? The Penn Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology–one of the finest in the entire WORLD? Penn’s top-tier Bioengineering program? Its top-ranked Nursing School? And these are just a FEW examples of Penn’s international eminence at the undergraduate level outside of Wharton.

And MANY THOUSANDS of current and former non-Wharton Penn undergrads chose Penn over the very schools you listed, your idiotic and completely baseless claims notwithstanding.

The depth of your utter ignorance, combined with the magnitude of your outrageous hubris and arrogance, is nothing short of STUNNING.

Stop digging, ■■■■■–you’re already at the bottom of a very deep hole.

Hey, guys when is your orientation? @Ellavirginia, @Branflakes, @45%er
arent you excited?!

I just love 45Percenter’s smackdowns.

how many of you guys are doing dual degree program at Upenn?
