Schools require that i submit noncustodial form. I know nothing about my father except his name. i live with my mother and have been all my life. she also knows nothing about his present situation. last time she contacted him was 15 years ago when i was 2 or 3. nobody i know does not know whether he's dead or live, or where he's, or what he's doing . what do i do about the Form. BTW i'm international applicant if this helps.

You will need to get a waiver from each school you apply to. Call them and ask them what they need. Most will require a letter from you and something from someone else (probably not your mother - but a school guidance counselor or something) that can back up your claims.

Nobody except my relatives or my mother can back this up. In my country school officials do not know anything about their students personal and private situations.

Perhaps not a school official but any official. The family doctor, a clergy member, anyone with some official standing. You can let the schools know your particular situation and they will tell you what the accept. Some may say, “just too bad”, and some may be more understanding. There is no “one size fits all” answer to your situation. You can just give it a try. Schools just can’t take family/friends word on these sorts of things because too many are in your situation or claim to be with an absentee parent who won’t pay or even fill out the forms.

Either way you will have to ask for a waiver. I believe only a school can give a waiver and that you cannot get a blanket waiver. You will have to contact the schools that you are applying to that require it and explain the situation to them. Also, not all schools need the CSS form. I know only one of the 12 that my son applied to required it.

thank you both
