NonCustodial Profile HELP

<p>I've got a bit of a problem. My parents are divorced. So when I filled out the common app and the css, I put that down. However, now they want my father's taxes and profile. The problem is, I have NO CONTACT with him at all. He doesn't pay support. I don't know where he is except that he lives in North Carolina. What now? How do I tell colleges that I can't get that info or send that?</p>

<p>Tell the colleges you need a noncustodial parent waiver, and ask them how they want you to proceed. Some schools have a specific form; others don’t. They will all likely need statements from you, your mom, and a non-family member documenting your father’s absence, how long he’s been gone, etc.</p>
