Nonrestrictive Early Action schools?

Could anybody help me build a list of non-restrictive early action schools?? In other words, any college that offers early action, but not single choice early action. I know of MIT and UChicago, but could anybody please help provide more? Thanks!

Trinity University
Boston College
Northeastern (not sure)

MIT
UChicago
Georgetown
Boston College
Northeastern
Fordham
Pretty much all elite publics except UCs and William and Mary

There seems to be this list on the web:

[College Lists / US Schools with Early Action Decision Plans](<a href=“College Lists Wiki / US Schools with Early Action Decision Plans”>College Lists Wiki / US Schools with Early Action Decision Plans)

No idea how up to date it is.

Some schools offer both EA and ED. Tulane offers both EA and SCEA (the latter being a way to increase “level of applicant’s interest”).

There are also rolling admissions schools which can be functionally like EA if you apply early.

The Common App website has an up-to-date and presumably very good list at

https://www.commonapp.org/PublicPages/ApplicationRequirements

(a pdf file; also shows the EA date).

A quick glance suggests there are about 200 schools with non-restrictive EA (apparently only half a dozen schools have restrictive EA - the ones you all know).

I think you went in the wrong end of the tunnel. As far as I know, there are only 5 REA schools:

Yale, Harvard, Princeton, Stanford and Boston College. And these, in general, have a few loopholes in regards to public school early application programs.

I think you can safely assume that every other colleges’ Early Action program is unrestricted.

Are REA and EA different in the same way for those schools? As I was filling out my common app, I only found Stanford stating that, I can’t apply to other ED or EAs. For BC and Yale, there isn’t. I wonder if I could apply to other ED/EA if I’m applying for REA.

Quick question, can I apply to other regular EAs if I have applied one ED?

Jenn: each REA school has its own peculiar loopholes. You need to read their guidelines separately and carefully. For instance, Yale allows one to apply to its REA but also to other public school EA programs (such as UMich). But it doesn’t allow applying to any private school’s EA/ED program.

If you apply ED, you are allowed to apply to other EAs

That is an important point! Georgetown, for example, allows an applicant to apply to other EA options, but not to also apply to an ED choice.
