Would love to hear from anyone who was non-art major in college who went back for BFA at Cooper- or is planning to apply. I was already told I will be a transfer if I get in but will essentially be a freshman. I am older (35) and have non-art grad degree. I am taking contin. ed classes at SVA to help with portfolio and working individually with artist who has MFA from NYU. Are most freshman classes about 99% 18-20 yo's? And you current students- any older students in your classes?

I also meant to mention I am in the medical field, and create art with both organic matter as well as mixed media work with digital microscopy. Attracted to Cooper for many reasons, and it doesn’t hurt I am a 10 minute bike ride away…

Hi, I’m an engineering student at Cooper Union and I know that the VAST majority of art freshmen are 17-20 years old. I roomed with three art students there last year, all of them were ages 18-19. I don’t personally know any older art students there, but there is 1 or 2 in engineering.
