I have a quick question sorry if its in the wrong section but how exactly do i get an internship if i am a highschool student (junior , 15 years old) over summer do i just email a company in houston or go visit them personally?

Don't go visit them personally. Try e-mailing companies, though you will find that many requrie school credit so they only hire college students.

wait so whats the point of internships over community service for a high schooler

Internships will give you more hands-on experience than community service, as you will work just like an employee. But, don't freak out, just b/c they are unpaid. Some internships are paid, especially in the business field like accounting, finiance, some marketing, some advertising...stuff like that.

Internships also allow students to see how businesses are run, what the enviroment is like, etc. Also, you might want to try emailing several companies too, large & small, because high school internships are hard to find.
