Nooooooooooo!!!

I am not eligible for the osu honors program!! They require a 29 on ACT or 1300 on SAT in one sitting. I got a best score combined of 28 on ACT and 1300 on SAT. Rank top 10% in class. neouroscience research, 300 volunteer hours, tons of science fair awards and even one biology scholarship from OSU.
Are my hopes still crushed???

Thanks...

Didn't you just say...

Need: 1300 on SAT
Have: 1300 on SAT

?

sorry i didn't clarify
They only take test scores from one sitting, not best combined score. my best score one sitting is 1290.

Can you take the SAT again?

i think the deadline for honors is dec. 15

I may be wrong about all this...hopefully I am.

Oh, you are SO close. Why don't you give them a call and haggle with them. Say, "I've shown I CAN get a 1300 and my highest one-sitting score is within TEN POINTS of 1300. I'm clearly academically able to do honors work."

Yeah....there's gonna be a fit if I don't get in it. I'm trying to ventilate at the moment.

So you are going to Ace your first year's regular classes. Be happy that you will do so well.

Did you know that when you graduate with a BS-no one cares what college that you went to nor what your grades were.

At the honors info session we attended in cleveland, they said that the guildelines for the honors program were not written in stone. Have your GC call and talk to them about it.

Thanks for the reassurance everyone. I'll contact my counselor and OSU if it doesn't work.

The dorms for regular applicants is horrendous. Pretty much OSU dorms are really really bad (ranked 13th worst in nation). So at least honors dorms can be better.

I heard if you're on the brink that they make you write an essay or something.

So don't worry.
