NOOOOOOOoooooo!

Hey, does anyone know if there are any other "financial aid landmines" out there amongst the top schools? --- schools, like Princeton, with other additional forms beyond the fafsa, CSS and IDOC?

Hookem, I received an email on Monday saying that I never submitted my financial aid(the Princeton form) and i filled it out and submitted it that day. I think Princeton will be absolutely fine with you just getting in the form. Dont stress!!! Its ok!!! :)

Yes, don't worry if you turn in stuff late. They want the forms in early so they don't get swamped in the financial aid office, but I had to turn in my forms late (couldn't get taxes done on time) and they said it was no problem.

Swarthmore and URichmond are two schools that have their own extra forms. It does seem ridiculous that schools want the FAFSA and the CSS Profile and their own extra information AND your tax forms (don't forget that in addition to the forms, you have to send Princeton certain pages from your parents taxes plus their W2 forms--I had to call and find out about that mself). But those are some of the hoops that one must jump through for these schools. Another thing: Each school seems to have its own way of wanting your family's tax documents. Some want IDOC, some want it sent directly to them, etc. Watch out for that.

Thanks Endicott. I wish the whole financial aid process was more uniform. Having to navigate through each school's financial aid website, each set up differently, in order to find out what each school wants has been a challenge.
