AP World History and AP Biology are the most common for sophmores.

The only reason a sophmore would take an AP at my school is either because they are already fluent in their language so they would take a language AP, or because they are at least 2 years ahead in math. So most sophmores at my school don't get to take any APs.

I agree with Reinhardt. This is obviously a brag thread. Taking 5 AP's doesn't really mean anything. For all I know, you could be getting all C's. That's very impressive. And for all I know, your 100 could have been on adding integers. Doesn't say too much. There are people much more intelligent than you who don't say a word. I'm sure making this thread is just a type of compensation. Please stop bragging and go do something else.

Depends on the school....most people don't take APs until junior year.

There's only one AP that's normal for freshmen at my school and that's AP World History.

For sophomores, most of them take AP chemistry, but there are a few scattered amongst the AP Physics, AP Computer Science, and AP Stats classes.

And a few hispanic students at my school (those already fluent in spanish) go ahead and take AP Spanish.

AP Bio and AP Gov are the usual sophmore AP's for our school.

Some students who had extensive resources in middle school get up to AP Calc by sophomore year, and a lot of students who have spanish-speaking families or went to the local french immersion school get up to AP Spanish and French by soph year too.

Either: AP Euro, AP Psych
And: AP Chem

wow. at my school, they only offer 1 ap to sophs (ap world history)

AP bio
Ap UShist

but you can take more

AP Euro/AP Human Geo
AP CS if you're taken the pre-reqs
and AP Physics if you're in the highest science sequence.

last year as a sophmore i took 3 aps and 1 ib...5 seems alright
