North Campus Apartments

Hey!
Im currently a freshman looking into getting an apartment next year for the Fall of 2011. I wanted to start looking early to get a good deal/choice. Im currently living at Dobie. I want to live in North Campus, 3 bed/3 or 2 bath, Parking included, $550 or less including utilities (only because im sick of paying $900/month at dobie!), nice, maybe furnished?, not too far from campus/on the bus route, and a washer/dryer included.
Oh and I'm a girl so I want something cute/homey. haha
Any suggestions?
Thanks :)

or possibly something in west campus with the same price/details!

Your not going to find something at that price. Maybe drop the utilities included and you’ll be in the range.

haha i kinda figured that… but are there any that are 500/month without utilites that anyone knows of?

your never going to get that Austin. Try 650 or 750

Can someone explain why it is so expensive? If you are talking 650 or 750 per person (@ 3 persons), I assume you mean the rent for one month would be between 1950 and 2250.

Other than being furnished, I’m not seeing why the cost is so high. It seems like 2250 a month would be more comparable to…a really nice house rental or something.

It is expensive because it is Austin and it is expensive because it is right around a college campus. If you are willing to have 3 people sharing two bedrooms, you will be able to find that price, otherwise, good luck. I know 3 friends who are doing just that and they pay around $600 or so a piece I believe.

^Bingo. And you wonder how people renting out their condos near UT make so much profit?

ok ok!
so the farther we live the cheaper it is?
and places that you know of?

If you really want 550 try Round Rock and commute to campus everyday LOL.

I live up by 38th/Speedway area. It’s very convenient with the IF bus. Rent is sub 500. Utilities are about 50-70 usually. Coin operated laundry in the complex.

I know you said you were interested in having roommates, but if you want to live alone, I live in a one bedroom/one bathroom that is $650 a month including utilities and parking. Located at W. 18th and San Antonio so it’s a 5 min walk to campus. very rare to find something this cheap.

yeah… im for sure going to have 2 roomies. so im looking for a 3 bed, 2 bath now!

(in response to hcutexas22)

Hey, I am interested in a 1B/1B in that price range and the location sounds great. Could you tell me the name of the place or if you know a number I could call about leasing?

Thanks!
