North Carolina Chapel Hill Chances(advice please, interesting)

Hey guys, i was wondering if you all could give me some advice, right now I'm a sophomore at West Virginia University, and I'm thinking about transferring to UNC Chapel Hill next year. What I'm wondering is if you all think my grades at the end of this year (what they would see on the application if I sent it in around january, would go to school there in the fall) will be enough to get in, or whether i should wait until I finish spring semester and go back to school in 2010. My stats would be this

3.4 GPA
40 credit hours
1730 SAT Score
3.0 HS GPA (HS ranked 19th by Newsweek in 2008)
Currently assisting a professor with a research paper on democracy
Good letter of recommendation from the vice chair or the political science department
Amazing essay (I am a competent writer, and I will work closely with the english department at WVU on my essay)
I am 19 years old, a hispanic male, i have lived on 4 different continents

Granted I continue to get straight A's (as I have this semester) if I decide to wait until the end of my spring semester I will most likely have a 3.6 (and possibly a recommendation from the chair of the political science department).

Sorry if has a bit of extra stuff on it, opinions would be appreciated

When do you find out if you got in? WVU is a pretty good school.

WVU accepts everyone.

Not really. The fact that they are not selective does not make them an unworthy school.
