Does anyone know about North Carolina School for the Arts summer Drama program? What is the overall experience like? How competitive is it to get into? How are the teachers? Any and all comments are highly appreciated.

I actually attended the Summer '08 NCSA Summer Session in Drama and LOVED it. I came out of the five weeks a completely new person ready to take on the big scary world of college. The teachers are fantastic!!!! Your first ful day on campus is divided between placement exams for morning classes and than your afternoon acting class. The placement exams are very low key, almost no stress at all. The teacher I was paired with (Monica) was fantastic and really helped me to become a stronger actor. All the other teachers were just as amazing and were always enthusiastic to share stories or help you grow. I learned to juggle in our morning circus class...something I have always wanted to do. :]

From what I gathered, it really isn't that competative to get into. You just have to write an essay, get two recommendation letters and you are in. Very easy.

Message me if you want to know more.
