Daughter got accepted but no letter or other information only this in admissions info section. Does this mean she was accepted into exploratory studies?

My essays I thought were really good and I had plenty of clubs with leaderships. I even put down that I worked at a total of 3 jobs. Took a total of 7 APs and rest Honors Classes. Took engineering pathway in high school. Surprising i didnt get into UGA with these stats but really happy that i got into NC State. Congrats to everyone else who got in!
@Madmik30 @wheretfdoigo i also haven’t received a decision. i am out of state
@j730aae still no decision. Not sure as to why no decision, crossing my fingers.
If you got accepted to the business school, can you switch to the COE?
D was waitlisted .for engineering. Not sure how one gets into Penn State, WPI Drexel and a few others and NOT into NCState?
@inpatientmomnc You can certainly try. I just heard that they are making this harder to do; cracking down on trying to circumvent directly applying to engineering for less competition.
@Anxious56 my son was originally deferred but accepted the second round. But he was put into exploratory Studies instead of Engineering. In state, GPA of 4.0 / 4.97 Pretty sure he is going to say no as we do not know how this will effect him getting into Engineering. Will he be behind the other students??
He was also accepted at Penn state and VA tech…
Here is what the university says about getting into your major after E.S. " NC State has internal transfer regulations (CODA) that vary from major to major and may change over time. Some of the programs have limited space and thus set high GPA standards for internal transfers, especially engineering, design, and business management. For this reason, we work with our students to build their academic skills so they can succeed academically and matriculate into the major of their choice. However, there is no automatic eligibility. All students must meet the requirements of their selected major.".
So this answers my question. My son has known his career path since the 5th Grade. Its a shame he has to leave the state and a somewhat affordable tuition cost to get his education…
@eaglemom thank you. I just am baffled.
@eaglemom2014
I know what you mean. My daughter’s major doesn’t even exist in South Carolina for undergraduate. It also is not included on any tuition reciprocity agreements. She got at the NC State and Virginia Tech. However, we are left with New York or Louisiana for an affordable option.
