Ok, so Im not planning to go to an IVY League, but I was wondering what you guys thought if I had a chance for NC State.

In high school, Ive taken honors calculus (im strong in math), 3 years of german, honors bio, chem, and physics, and in my senior year (this year), Im taking AP stats and honors meteorology. all other classes are regular.

I have a 3.7 GPA, but my school is very competitive so they dont put class ranks on the transcripts. (I have a friend who is ranked 8 with a 4.45). Heres the breakdown on the ACT cause my SAT sucked

Math: 29
Reading: 20 (I hate reading)
Science: 22
English: 24

Composite: 24

NC State obviously isnt an amazing school, but I loved the campus a lot. Do I have a chance?

Are you in state? Its a lot easier to get in UNC and NCS if you live in carolina. If you do, I think you'll get in. If not, I saw waitlisted. Having your only AP in a math class off the natural course is a big minus.

But Im not going into anything English related or anything. the average ACT score there is 22-27, and the average GPA is about a 3.5. Im out of state, but once again, go to a very competitive school with 700 students.

My Brother used to live down in raleigh and has friends who go to State who said Im most likely in. I think the whole out of state thing is more for UNC because its a much better school then NC State

anyone? please? I talked to some people at NC State on another forum and said I would have no problem, but the people here seem to be really knowledgable, but I dont know if you are about a not as good school.
