North or Central Campus Housing?

Which side of campus is better to live on? Central is close to the library, while North is close to downtown and the new student center. From what they said, Central side also appears slightly closer to the academic buildings, but from looking at the map, it looks more like it depends on what building.
From current students or parents of current students, what are the pros and cons of living on Central and North? What side do more freshmen live on? Also, I’m not applying for an LLP.

Bump. Anyone?

I am a current student and I live on north campus. Looking back I wish I decided to live on central or south side of campus. North is a decent walk (about 20 min) to the library, JSB (where most of my classes are), and the JC. North does have a better selection of dorms though, it will be right by the student center once it opens, and it’s close to Whitehall. Central doesn’t have a good selection of dorm types (unless you’re in the honors dorm), but it’s right next to JSB, the library, the 90, JC, etc. There really isn’t much different between central campus and south campus though, especially if you can get into Woodland Glen I or II. The dorms on south are a little upgrade from central because you and your roommate will have your own separate rooms. But the only reason I’m not a fan of north campus is because of the walk, but when the student center opens that’ll be a huge plus.
