Have any of the Northside dorms been renovated/updated the past couple of years? Which of the modular dorms are nicer?
You can click through the reslife site and they list if/when renovated. All the modulars are basically the same, most people bring a rug (or two) to lay on top of existing flooring. Keep in mind, once you add beds & furniture the remaining space is pretty small. That being said, IF you set up your room just right in the modulars you can fit a small couch (we did) - purchased a couch with fold up/down arms that when folded out was a twin bed for visitors. It is down to the inch of measuring though! Girls loved it, gave them a place for people to sit that was NOT on their beds ( my personal pet peeve when I was in college - other people on MY bed). It was either walmart or target --purchased online with pickup in College Station.
I have looked at every dorm and they all have built in date but not one of them have a renovated in date listed. This is probably intentional. I would really like to know if most of them still have carpet floors and which ones were updated to a hard surface floor. For instance I heard Neely still has carpet but some of the others have newer hard surface flooring, which is probably a laminate.
