I think my recommendations are pretty good because I had great relationships with my teachers and one of them introduced me to the program I did research for.
I also had my employer write me a recommendation letter.
In addition, I would say my essay is a solid 8.5/10.
Northeastern has been my top school since sophomore year and I will probably cry for a week if I get rejected lol.
I applied to Northeastern EA and I have a 3.73 unweighted gpa and my sat is a 1130.
I know my SAT is low but I have take. AP Environmental, APUSH, AP Euro,
AP lit and AP Lang
I am class president, president of best buddies, apart of NHS, DECA where I have placed first and won an award nationally, I have won awards in the state house, raised money for charity through events I created, I submitted an art portfolio and kept in touch with the representative in my area. I filled out all 10 extra curricular and sent a resume as well.
I had a really strong essay
I also wrote I prefer to do the NU in Abroad program. Does this help my chances?
My reccomendation letter was written by my principal
Do I have a chance? Considering they use a holistic review?
I’d say you have a chance. SAT might set you back but your other stuff looks good especially because of your leadership roles. A lot of people get deferred from EA but I’ve seen people with relatively low standardized testing scores get admitted RD. Good luck!
