in the fall i applied regular decision to northeastern university. i got a letter from northeastern on december 20th saying they received my application and were going to review it. it is now march 2nd and i still haven't heard anything form them. does this mean there is a good chance that i did not get accepted because it's been so long?

When are RD responses supposed to come out I assume northeastern isn’t rolling.

they said admissions decisions will be released by april 1st, like most other colleges

^you just answered your own question

what she didn’t say ist that NU has been doing some sort of rolling admission this year, although they said they would release the decisions early april. I got accepted early Feb as have many others. this my sound harsher than i mean it, but you are probably just not at the top of the application pool. the people accepted had stats far above northeastern’s average. don’t worry. you still have a chance. as long as you haven’t gotten a rejection letter, you’re still in the pool.

I think you have to wait for another month …

More than 7 people I know received their acceptance from NU a week ago. All of them have qualified for the presidential scholars or sth like that which provides full ride to incoming freshmen.

P.S I’m an international student and the case maybe completely different in case of US nationals.

International applicants to Northeastern receive decisions a week or two before US applicants. Based on last year’s postings on CC, all RD decisions should be coming out this Thursday, March 10th.

This year, Northeastern did send out decisions to top stat applicants in early February.

Hey, Tom:

How do you know that the RD will be coming out this Thursday? Do they typically post anything on their website (when you log in with your user id)?
