I think that you have a very good chance. My friend with much lower scores got in. Good luck! Chance back? <a href=“Chance me for Vassar I'll chance back :) - Vassar College - College Confidential Forums”>Chance me for Vassar I'll chance back :) - Vassar College - College Confidential Forums;

@12345n any ideas on merit scholarships to Northeastern, assuming I am accepted?

@tmt351 oh sorry I’m not too sure about that

Merit at northeastern with our profile would be very unlikely.

You may get in, but I would be surprised if you got any significant merit with your SAT and ACT.

@mnm111 I have considered taking the January SAT and I was wondering a score range that would qualify me for a decent scholarship?

Merit aid generally goes to the top 25-30% of admitted students. For fall 2014 the mid 50% of SAT’s was 2020-2190 and ACT’s 31-33.

I think you can get in, but I doubt you’ll get any merit. I had a 3.9 uw GPA and a 2230 and I got nothing. If cost is an issue, have you looked at WPI? Great school for future vets, has a good relationship with Tufts vet school, and will be easier to get merit aid at.

@Qwerty568 Thanks for the advice! WPI has many merit scholarships and appears to have a great prevet program. Tuition is high but if I was awarded a lot of scholarship money then this school would definitely be a consideration!
@Tmt351 no problem! One of my friends with similar stats who wants to be a vet applied early action, and they gave her a nice combination of financial aid and scholarships. I hope everything works out for you!
