Just went on my last college visit and didn’t really like it (went to Michigan State) and so I’ll almost for sure be at Northeastern now. HUZZAH!

I haven’t been able to visit. Is it really that gorgeous? Does that mean it is clean and modern or is it traditional and collegiate?

^More clean and modern than traditional and collegiate. It’s not full of brick or stone buildings. The visitor center is actually brand new and has a giant touch screen covering the walls, to give you an idea of the “modernness.” Most people appreciate the fact that there’s green space and the campus isn’t just buildings on a street like a lot of city colleges. I think the location is convenient. You can literally walk to the museum of fine arts if you want.

And hi! I applied EA and Northeastern is my first choice, excluding a couple of really reach-y colleges (So first choice that I have a decent chance of getting into). I applied for CCIS. So how are you guys doing waiting for decisions? December can’t come fast enough for me…I really want to hear back from NEU and everywhere else.

Hey everyone!

I also applied EA to the College of Science as a BNS major…really hoping NEU comes through for me!

NEU is my first choice, but just like fantasiekey, I do have a reach school that I applied to (Tufts)!

Thanks fantasie, and welcome! (you too Guitar)

If you want to share lists, I suppose I will start…

[ul]
[]Georgetown EA
[]Northeastern EA
[]Fordham EA
[]W&M
[]UVA
[]Cornell
[]UPenn
[]Dartmouth
[li]Yale[/li][/ul]

I’ll share my list I guess,

*Northeastern EA
*Wentworth EA
*University of Vermont EA (Accepted)
*Boston University
*Tufts
*Northwestern
*University of Rhode Island (cuz im from RI)

Northeastern is my #1 choice and I want to do electrical engineering with physics. Love the city of Boston as you might be able to tell (NEU, BU, WIT, TUFTS) lol
Also have a 4.0, top 10% of class, and very good recs, essays, and extracurriculars…lacking in ACT score with only a 28

Good luck to everyone!!

Hi everyone!

I applied to NU as well! Does anyone know what my stats should be like to get into the Honors Program?

To be pretty much garunteed into honors college i think like a 2250 and A GPA should be more than enough

awww so a 2160 is debatable? I figured so, just hoping not.

The 75th percentile for enrolled freshmen is 2130, according to the NU website. The top 10% of admitted students (by college) are invited to the Honors Program

I applied to Northeastern Early Action as well!

It’s one of my top choices!

I have a 2130 SAT, 3.93 UW, 4.45 W.

Most likely admitted with a good chance of merit scholarship.

I applied to northeastern EA too. Its probably in my top 4 schools-
-Case Western Reserve University EA
-Indiana U- Bloomington Rolling- Accepted
-Lehigh university ED
-UMD College Park EA
-Northeastern EA
-Purdue Rolling
-Providence College EA
-USC Columbia RD
-SUNY Binghamton ED
-Tulane EA

I love, love, love Northeastern! It’s also my number #1 choice and I applied EA. But I feel like my sat & act scores will ruin my chances. sigh Hopefully, my gpa makes up for it. -Fingers Crossed- Good luck everyone!

Northeastern is my first choice. I already applied EA! My SAT and GPA are alright at best. My overabundance of ECs (Track & Field, and Band) to really solidify my admission.

Applied EA! For those who want to compare (because this is CC, after all)
- Rutgers EA (accepted!)
- MIT EA
- U. of Maryland EA
- Drexel VIP
- Boston University Scholarship Deadline
- Cornell RD
- Carnegie Mellon RD
- Lehigh RD
SAT: 2250 (1530/1600); UW: 4.00; W: 5.60/6.00
Not too worried about Northeastern, but I just want my decision already. =P

Applied EA, one of my first choices. I want to major in Music Industry. 1910 SAT (610 writing, 600 math, 700 reading) and a 91.6 weighted GPA. I’m so nervous!

I applied EA and Northeastern is one of my top schools, along with Emory.

The only time I’m able to visit Northeastern is over Thanksgiving break when I visit family in Boston (I live in Seattle). Does anyone know what the students are like at Northeastern? There are never any around when I visit. :(

^Nice. I live near Seattle, but I have never visited Northeastern. May I ask why you are applying, or are you from Boston?

@HERosenbaum with 15,000 undergrads there’s all types of students at Northeastern. I’m not a student there, but from what I’ve heard a lot of students are pre-professionally and academically inclined. There’s a party scene, but you have to go off campus to find any big ones. My friend who goes there told me a lot of people go to MIT and Harvard to party.

On a different note can we speculate the date of ea notification? In 2009 they found out the 17th, in 2010 they found out the 16th, and in 2011 they found out the 15th. Those are all Thursdays so it’ll most likely be a Thursday. However because of the leap year that Thursday drops back two days, making it the 13th. Is that too early? What do you guys think.
