New England and nothing yet
If at all today, after 5ish.
Decisions have never come out before 5 PM EDT in recent years.
Do they typically make an announcement on social media first? If yes, when does that usually come out?
Last week it was on March 15th, 6:40pm Central on their Twitter NUAdmissions
The decisions were released everywhere at 7pm Eastern time last week so I would expect it to be the same time if we get a wave today.
No prior announcement before results initial results came out.
@tamagotchi thatâs a good point (especially for next yearâs applicants who may be deciding whether to select âYes, Iâd be open to spending my first semester abroadâ on the app). My DS23 is in a similar position (as I suspect are a lot of others). Since his major is environmental studies heâs got more flexibility (and fewer long sequences of courses) than some other majors, but still his APs do really shrink the course catalog at many of the overseas locations. I hadnât yet factored in whatâs not available in the Spring because they had it in Boston in the Fall. We will definitely have to factor that in when deciding where to enroll.
Anyone know if they cross reference applicants who showed interest with an on campus tour visit?
According to the 2022â2023 CDS âApplicantâs level of interestâ is âconsidered.â (options are: very important, important, considered, not considered) It would fit with that that they would make a note in the applicantâs file if they visited or engaged in other activities to show interest. But I donât have any inside knowledge!
Has anyone gotten a decision?
Nothing here, we are NYS
Yes, but you have to be very careful about âDemonstrated Karmaâ
If you visit the Boston campus on a weekend when the basketball team loses, the karma factor can really work against you.
I think you mean the hockey team.
Did the kids get an email telling them to check the portal?
Yes, but usually a half hour after the decision is in the portal.
The âAwaiting Decisionâ is gone again.
new england and still no update.
mine just went back to awaiting decisionâŠ
same
this happened with ea too and after the decisions came out it said smth like âdecidedâ so my guess is that they still need that title there even if the decision is coded in
