Got into Oakland with a gauranteed transfer to Boston in year 2. I guess it’s a 1+3 thing.
I put my preferences for Boston because I live there- but I have a small feeling it has to do with my fafsa? My fafsa got messed up not because of me but Northeastern got my ssn wrong, so I wonder if it’s because they couldn’t offer me financial aid my freshman year, so they placed me in global scholars instead cause u dont get financial aid first year with that program
thats just me speculating though I’m just in shock still I was so convinced I’d be rejected
My son got in through ED. About a week before decisions came out, the financial aid office emailed that one of out documents did not upload correctly despite CSS confirming it was complete. He got his financial aid package about 10 days after acceptance. So I don’t think admissions and financial aid work together like that.
no decision here. looks like i’ll have to wait another week or something. i really don’t like that they decided to do things like this. it’s creating unnecessary stress
agree. the waiting is tough. From reddit it sounds like Boston acceptances haven’t been released yet.
i got an email from collegeboard idoc, but idk
Did anyone get an email telling them to check their account, or did they just hear maybe to check (via Reddit) and find out there was a decision made that way?
I don’t know about that. Ours was from NEU financial aid office. But the point being, I don’t think anything from your financial aid documentation affects your admission decision.
What does it mean if I got into the Global Scholars Program? I don’t remember applying for any extra programs lol
It means you will spend your first year in London and Oakland https://globalscholars.northeastern.edu/
My son got accepted to the Global Scholars program as well. Does anyone know how much the national merit finalist scholarship is?
Was there any social media announcement?
The Instagram came out at least 30 minutes after the first reports of decisions
huh. So my “insta” skills are terrible. I apologize in advance … Did it say it was announcing only one kind of announcement (eg, NUIn or Global Studies)?
they didn’t say which decisions are coming out when but it seems like the majority of people admitted today were global scholars
did anyone get anything that lives on west coast?
Accepted Global Scholars (London/Oakland first year, then Boston).
Didn’t apply for that specifically but not a bad option to have.
Some merit $ as well.
They also didn’t say when the next wave will be
