NORTHEASTERN, do I have a chance?

<p>Okay so I am currently a Junior in high school and Northeastern is my dream school. I've always wanted to go their but I'm just unsure what my chances are. My freshman year i did really well and got A's and B's (average was probably 86) but my sophomore I didn't do so hot. I actually finished the year with two 79s which is really unlike me (total average of 84). It was a really tough year in general because I was busy dealing with a death in the family... Anyway, this year I am doing really well (so far). I have straight As and my goal is to have straight A's all year.</p>

<p>I also participate in a lot of extracurriculars with leadership and musical groups. I do a ton of community service and am a Peer Leader to the freshman class at my school. I know Northeastern is really specific about students who have leadership qualities so I hope i will have better shot. Also, I just took my first SAT and got an 1850 but i'll probably take it two more times to raise my score.</p>

<p>As it stands now, what do you think my chances of getting in are if I get mostly A's this year and raise my SATs. Oh and i forgot to mention that I want to study Music business. Okay sorry for the long info haha but I really want to know so please help me out guys. Thanks! </p>

<p>You seem like a very hard working student and I feel that if you keeping putting in the required effort, you will be good to go! I think it is a match for you right now which is great.</p>

<p>Also, do mention in your app as to why you messed up sophomore year but chill… You are doing well. YOU ARE ON THE RIGHT PATH TOWARDS YOUR GOAL!</p>

<p>I’d say it’s a high match to low reach. Pretty good chances. Explain about sophomore year in essay, also, kick ass in junior and senior year. They are both really important. Chance back?

<p>Just work hard to keep your As this year and bring up your SAT a bit if you can. It will help for Northeastern and other opportunities. Good luck!</p>
