Northeastern Econ or Business

I was recently (yesterday) accepted to Economics in SS&H.

I was not expecting to hear back so early.
I was hoping to request NEU to change my intended major to business.
I am interested in going into finance.

I was thinking of doing dual-degree in Econ and Business.
I plan to study for only 7 semesters instead of 8 to save $$$.
I will (hopefully) have enough AP credit for a semester.
However, the dual degree takes more than 7 semesters.

I logged on to myNEU and found out that I could request to change my major.
If I stay as an Econ major, I will minor in Business although selection of classes is limited.

So...
•Can I do Business Co-op as an Econ major?
•Is it fairly easy to change major (school) now? (most students have not been admitted yet)

Thank you.

when it comes time to apply for a co-op, econ majors can apply for business positions and visa versa. Many companies put in their co-op requirements either econ or business (some specify the business concentration also - like accounting).

You can also change your major over the summer or I believe any time after you submit your enrollment deposit.
