Northeastern engineering?

I am going for MECh E at Northeastern and was wondering if any of you are in the program and what ur opinions are about the program. NU seems to be overlooked as an Engineering school but I was the most impressed with their program vs. other very competative schoosl like carnegie mellon, GA tech, and Penn State. Thanks in advance for ur input.

yea i was about to go into the mechE at northeastern when i had a conversation on the phone with the dean of engineering and he didnt im press me at all. Thanks to that convo I have chosen to go to Virginia Tech. From the people I know there, they love it and the program is definatly doable, meaning you dont have to be a genious to do well in it. Good luck next year.

Can you please elaborate on this conversation? what did he say that didnt impress you?

Thanks

Hmmm, the NEU's engineering dean recently won the highly prestigious Gordon Prize for innovation in engineering. That's a quite impressive accomplishment. Here's the story:

More about NEU's Engineering Dean including his educational background:

Not too shabby.

This Northeastern engineering professor is even more impressive than the Dean:
