<p>Guys, if we pay the deposit and later decide to not attend Northeastern (for being accepted in other schools), do we just lose the deposit? Which I believe is around $500… </p>
<p>I wanted to ask them for an extension on the May 1st deadline, but I heard they will not extend this date if the reason is waiting for other schools…</p>
<p>Anybody know where students stay during orientation? Also if anyone else is attending on July 25 let me know!</p>
<p>Just spoke to someone in admissions. They told me my application decision won’t come out till early-mid May. I may have to put my enrollment deposit down on my second choice since their deadline is May 1. I wish NEU would change their site and take down where it says that admissions decisions are made 2-4 weeks after file completion, which is obviously false.</p>

<p>Hey @CRothschild462, I’m totally in the same situation as you. My deadline for my safety is May 1st. When was your file completed? And if you don’t mind me asking what did you ask admissions and who did you speak to? Because when I called they gave me the same 2-4 weeks thing :(</p>

<p>yeah, i called admissions today and they told me that the maximum turnaround time is four weeks, but that’s already passed for me</p>
<p>@tcc314, all of my materials were received on or by March 13th. I just submitted my enrollment deposit for my safety school, which actually slowly became my first choice, University of Miami. I wish you the all the best in this.</p>
<p>@CRothschild462 Everything for me was in the week after you, so I will probably be mid-may as well. I was going to call but I don’t know of I should bother. I’m glad you made a decision! I will probably be doing the same. @hopefullyfresh and @yoshi45, my 4 week deadline was this week as well. It kind of sucks but I don’t know what to do at this point</p>

<p>Just received a scholarship from them today! Btw do you guys know for sure if housing is random? I would hate not not live with Upperclassmen. THeir dorms are so much cooler.</p>

<p>all public transits and the city at large are on lockdown at the moment trying to locate the runaway bombing suspect from last night’s manhunt. this may or may not delay any decisions from NU to some of us</p>
<p>Finally! I just got accepted this morning! Good luck to those still waiting! I hope for all of your sakes it won’t delay the process further, hopefully they catch the suspect quickly.</p>
<p>The university is completely shut down today, so unless they’re reviewing applications from home, I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a minor delay.</p>
