Thanks man. I’ve been checking my status every day, twice a day. Hope to hear good news soon.

It seems like their finally handing out decisions so you guys should hear back very soon!!

:[ another day of waiting for me.

If i can ask, approx. what time did your decisions come in? At least that way I can stop checking if the portal has gone down every couple hours, I can cut it down to once or twice a day.

ahhh northeastern is killing me haha. my Boston University decision just came today, and i finished the supplemental for them just a week ago

hopefullyfresh, funny I got my decision for Northeastern already, but not for BU! hahaha we have the opposite situation!

haha that’s quite strange. i wonder how the processes differ

My decision came in at approx. 11:13 A.M. The welcome day e-mail came in at 12:13 P.M eastern standard time.

Hey Ajax16 what were your stats?
And if you don’t mind me asking, which school are you in now?

Freshman
-3.4-fall semester gpa
-3.0 midterm gpa (will bring up)
- had realllyy good LORS from Philosophy professor and a admissions counselor
- I believe i had a strong personal statement essay that basically stated NEU was the only school for me
-Currently at a local community college and a state university in Georgia
-So-so H.S. grades but did not submit that.
hope that helps :)

Ahh I can’t wait any longer…but i finished my application on the 3rd…i feel like I still need to wait like 10 days :(

But congrats Ajax! If you got in with those stats I hope I’ll get in with mine :/

i was accepted to BU but i didn’t get nearly enough FA for it to be a viable option right now. i hope this isn’t indicative of the rest of my aid offers. fingers crossed, northeastern

Speaking of fin aid, does anybody know how Northeastern does on aid for transfer students?

Sent from my SCH-I535 using CC

Congrats Ajax and vish. This waiting is killing me… haven’t heard yet from NEU nor BU.
Hopefully they’ll both offer decent financial aid. I’d also be interested to know the estimated amount of aid for transfers.

Also, might be a stupid question, but do transfers still get to qualify for any scholarships? On their website it only talks about freshman applicants. So is financial aid the only option for transfer students?

transfers still qualify for merit aid but there aren’t nearly as many opportunities as there are for freshman applicants

Yes, you do qualify for scholarships as a transfer. I got a small merit aid for international students. But probably there is a lot more aid for freshman applicants.

Traditionally, NEU hasn’t been so good with aid i hear. But they did just invest 200 mil into fin aid so hopefully that money gets where it needs to.

Transfers do qualify for scholarships - today I found out that I have an academic achievement award :)

Well a merit aid would be better than nothing I suppose.

@mychemicalLoofa Congrats! Glad to hear they give those to transfers too.

Anybody know when housing assignments come out?
