Northeastern Financial Aid for Transfer Students

Hello CC,

I am extremely curious if Northeastern will provide me with any financial aid. I plan on applying as a transfer for the Spring semester.

I have exactly 30 credit hours at the University of Missouri and a 3.7 GPA. Does anyone have any insight as to the generosity of Northeastern’s financial aid for transfers? The main issue for me is that I have I have an EFC of $40,000, but it really is not feasible for my parents to pay that much; somewhere around $30,000 is what they will pay. Is my GPA competitive enough to receive financial aid or even get accepted? Does anyone have an idea as to what kind of aid (if any) I will be receiving?

For acceptance, probably, for $10,000 in need based aid, possibly. You will only know when you apply.

Thank you for replying. You think my GPA is actually likely to get me accepted? Like, Northeastern is a safe bet? Aside from the financial aid issue of course.

Probably does not make it a safety.

So a reach?

No a match.
