Hey guys Im international student and just got accepted to northeastern general studies program for 1 year. I had few questions that I really need answer to!! The thing is what are the advantages and disadvantages of gsp, should I actually do it or is it waste of time? I really wanted to study in NU but getting accepted to gsp but not intended major really put decreased my interest. My acceptance says that I can go on to my sophomore year after having completed my gsp year, however what are the actual differences compare to doing intended major as freshman than gsp, what I mean is that will I be counted as normal business student after I finish my gsp and continue from sophomore year? What will the students who are accepted directly to intended major (business) do different than gsp students? Also this is very important, I was thinking of trasfering to NYU from NU but if I do gsp will it be harder for me to get accepted as NYU will see I didnt get accepted directly? And also is it possible to transfer after gsp or should I try transfering after my first year(sophomore) year? PLEASE HELP ME!!! THank you

If you were admitted to Northeastern’s General Studies Program, it means that your stats were not high enough for regular admission but that you show potential to succeed with the closer supervision that the GSP provides. That said, NYU is more selective than Northeastern so your chances of transferring there are not good unless you do exceptionally well at Northeastern, or any school that you initially attend.

but I have the same classes with my the intended major class students, the only difference is that I have close supervision right? Or do I have any extra classes, I hope its not like f*in high school?
