<p>Why did you bump this thread? Do you actually think anyone from the Michigan board was/is going to say that Northeastern would be a better choice than U-M?</p>
<p>We would tell him the truth if he were considering an equally good or better university. The Michigan forum is one of the least biased on CC. We admit that schools like HYPSM are significantly better than Michigan, and we include roughly 25-30 universities and colleges as our peers. At most other elite university forums, the majority of students and alums would rather die than admit that their school is inferior to HYPSM or that more than three or four other universities match theirs, essentially, making their own school an unquestioned top 10 university. The majority of posters on this forum would also recommend what makes financial sense, whereas posters on other forums would recommned taking on large debts.</p>
<p>I saw your post on the NEU forums. It would come down to finance. Michigan is, relatively, a much better school, but if it involves a much larger amount of debt, you may want to consider NEU Honors (since you had mentioned they gave you a sizable scholarship).</p>

<p>better finance/atmosphere = dependent on you.</p>
