Northeastern N.U. in Program

If one applies to NEU ED and does not want to be admitted to the NU in program, is there a chance of them being admitted into anyone ED meaning it’s binding and they are forced to study abroad? Doesn’t that seem odd to make it binding when you didn’t even want to be in NU in? Is that a catch to applying ED to NEU?

If you are accepted to NUin from ED, it is not binding.

Does that mean I can choose to stay in Boston for the first semester?

If you are offered NU.in from ED, you cannot change to Boston for the first semester, but the ED agreement is no longer valid for the NU.in offer and it acts just like any other admission offer from RD/EA.

@datealmond, if you are offered NUin, you must attend abroad the first semester if you want to go to NEU. But as mentioned above, it is no longer binding for ED. (You can apply elsewhere but still choose NUin (or not.)
