Hey guys, I am an International Business major- Temple is ranked 7th in the nation and Northeastern 17th for international business..

I have been accepted to both, regardless of the $, which one do you guys believe is the wiser choice??

Thanks--

Temple has a good--and up and coming-- business school which I would rate better than Northeastern. Overall--Temple is a decent school but has two notable liabilities. First, it is generally thought of as the #3 public university in Pennsylvania, behind Penn State and Pitt. The vast majority of its students are from the Philadelphia area and many are commuters. Temple lacks the feeling and cohesiveness of a residential college. Second, it is in a pretty bad (i.e., dangerous) part of Philadelphia. I generally like Philly but you wouldn't catch me walking down Broad St. after dark.

Northeastern is a private university and has a considerably more geographically diverse student body. It runs mostly on the co-op model so it actually is more comparable to Drexel than Temple. Northeastern has a much better location in Boston than Temple does in Philly. While Northeastern is no residential college either, it has far fewer commuters and most students live somewhat near the university.

Educationally, I don't think there would be a great deal of difference but I'd probably give a slight edge to Temple because of its better business school. On the other hand, I think most undergraduates would have a better overall experience at Northeastern.
